Avoid phishing

  • What is phishing ?

Phishing is a type of online identity theft.

This fraud scheme uses fraudulent e-mails referring to existing websites, designed to steal information or personal data from you, such as credit card numbers, account details or other information.

If you receive a message of this type, do not provide the information requested, and do not click on the link displayed in the e-mail.

  • What is the difference between a money transfer scam and phishing ?

Phishing is generally carried out by e-mail, through advertisements or via sites that look like the ones you already use.

For example, you may receive an e-mail similar to those sent by your bank asking you to confirm your bank account number and, in the case of Wyylde, to enter your personal login details.

For a money transfer scam, the scammer usually sends the victim a cheque or transfer and bank transfer instructions, with the victim required to keep part of the amount received by cheque as payment.

The victim sends the money to the scammer and loses the full amount when the cheque is dishonoured or the transfer is cancelled.

If you suspect a scam on our site, we advise you to report the dubious profile to us immediately.
