Sending a message to a member

There are two different ways to send a message to a member. The first, and most common, is through their profile, the second is from your contact list.

• From the member's profile 

To contact a member, go to their profile and select "Write to them". 

Two situations may arise:
- Envelope icon followed by "Write to them" : You can send a message.
- Padlock icon followed by "Write to them" : You cannot contact them due to enabled filters.

If the member you are visiting is currently online on the site, the message will be sent to them via chat.

• From your contacts 

This can only work if you have added the desired member to your contacts. 

Once in your contacts, find the member you want to send a message to, then select the small blue envelope.

• Can I send multimedia or voice messages?

No, the current messaging system does not allow sending audio or multimedia messages on the site.
