Avoiding Phishing 20 April 2026 20:28 Updated What is phishing?Phishing, also called phishing, is an online fraud technique aimed at impersonating an identity (bank, website, known service) in order to extract personal information from you. This fraud usually appears as emails or messages imitating existing services, with the aim of retrieving:your login credentials, your bank details,or any other sensitive data.If you receive a suspicious message, do not click on links and do not provide any personal information.Emails sent by WyyldeWyylde will never ask you for your password or sensitive information by email. All official emails are sent only from the following domains: @wyylde.com or @wyylde.zendesk.comIf you have doubts about a message received, you can send it to us via the Support section so that we can verify it.What is the difference with a money transfer scam?Phishing is generally carried out by email, through advertisements or via websites that look like those you already use. For example, you may receive an email similar to those sent by your bank asking you to confirm your bank account number and, in the case of Wyylde, to enter your personal login details. For a money transfer scam, the scammer usually sends the victim a cheque or a transfer along with bank transfer instructions, the victim having to keep part of the amount received by cheque as payment. The victim sends the money to the scammer and loses the full amount when the cheque is refused or the transfer is cancelled. What to do if in doubt? If you suspect an attempted scam or fraudulent behaviour on the site, we invite you to immediately report the profile concerned using the available tools.
